International Labor Day

International Labor Day, also known as May Day, is a national holiday in over 80 countries around the world.
It is scheduled on May 1st every year. It is a holiday shared by working people all over the world. In July 1889, the Second International, led by Engels, held a congress in Paris. The meeting passed a resolution, which designated May 1st, 1890 as the International Workers' Day, and decided to designate May 1st as the International Workers' Day.
The Central Government Council of China
made a decision in December 1949 to designate May 1st as Labor Day. Since then,
about 3000 Model worker and exemplary individual have been commended every five
years. Labor Day has profound significance for the world. It represents that
workers, through their own efforts, resist exploitation with tenacious will and
indomitable spirit, strive for their legitimate rights and ultimately achieve
victory. It represents the progress of world civilization and has profound
significance, therefore, Labor Day is highly valued by the majority of workers.
